Improvising guitarist based out of Melbourne, Australia.

Having studied with musicians including Stephen Magnusson, Scott Tinkler, Debashish Chakroborty, Sam Evans, Ben Robertson, James Sherlock and George Garzone, Dan approaches his music making with an insatiable curiosity. Focussing on interactive forms of improvisation, Dan is currently performing and recording with a diverse collection of Australian musicians and has performed at festivals including the Melbourne Jazz Festival, Wangaratta Jazz Festival, Fusion on Fitzroy Festival and more.

Dan has performed and recorded with artists including Hermeto Pascoal, Jim Black, Nasheet Waits, Mike Nock, Paul Grabowsky, John Taylor, George Garzone, Tony Moreno, Paul McCandless and more. Currently working with the BAD Trio, Youthless and Dan’s Self-titled Trio/Quartet projects.

Dan is currently completing a PhD exploring Gamification in Ear Training via Interactive Musical Games (IMG) with an intended completion date being late 2027.
